If you have discovered a mold issue in your home the proper way to go about getting it taken care of is through a mold assessor FIRST! To satisfy the insurance requirements and to get the best quality service the Mold Assessor should be called immediately to the property when you discover there is a problem. The process includes:

Assessment of the situation and develop a protocol report to perform proper remediation
Take samples to identify the type and levels of the mold at the property
After remediation a thorough inspection of the work to confirm all steps for clean up were completed properly.
Take samples of the area again to confirm the areas are ‘Clear’
Issue a clearance report if inspection and testing is properly completed. *If the areas are not clear the remediation contractor is required to repeat all or specific steps of the process until areas are clear.
